Ceecorp

Googong dam is a major water supply facility for Canberra and Queanbeyan.  Created in 1974, its original configuration was being modified for improved spillway facilities and other enhancements to meet flood events.

 

As part of that project, Ceecorp undertook the modification of the original dam walls and spillway to make way for the improved facilities.  Making such changes to a functioning reservoir required safe extraction of large scale concrete elements using environmentally sensitive methods.
