The 20,000sqm site that originally housed the Willoughby council depot was sold for redevelopment.  The 9,300sqm structure was being doubled to a 18,000sqm retail bulky goods shopping centre, Home HQ Northshore.

The site required excavation of 85,000 cubic metres of class 1 and 2 sandstone, and the removal of 8,000 tonnes of remediation material.

The existing structure was selectively demolished to allow sound elements to be incorporated into the new building.  This required partial dismantling and removal of concrete structural members through precision extraction, and exclusive use of controlled (non-vibration) demolition methods to ensure the continuing structural integrity of the building.

Ceecorp planned, managed and carried out the whole site demolition, excavation and remediation.
